“ From the outside its really a beach shack but from the inside its the most beautiful, romantic, stunning restaurant we’ve ever eaten in.
Sitting by the open window you are literally a couple of white sandy yards from the gently lapping sea, with twinkling lights from the surrounding hillsides and little fishing boats in the bay. Watch carefully and you can see little fish leaping out of the water. Bliss. And the food is such a surprise too – fine dining Italian style, an amuse bouche, stuffed courgette starter and a very pretty fish main course followed by a light as a feather dessert and good coffee. Also a cleansing celery sorbet (sounds weird but actually delicious) and a little cappuccino mousse with the coffee. Perfect.
If you are in Golfo Aranci, or indeed anywhere on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia you should spend at least one evening in Terza spiaggia. This little beach restaurant has been in the family since the 1960s apparently and the love for the food, the area and Sardinia shows. Go there!”
